 | FOAM QUICK LINKS | | SPECIALTY FOAMS | | | Specialty Foam Products Dry Flow | With the Australian climate lending itself to outdoor living, it only makes sense that you would want to be as comfortable outdoors as you are indoors. With that in mind, Dunlop Foams has released a range of "Outdoor" use foams suitable for applications such as: Alfresco dining furniture, patio furniture, poolside furniture, leisure boat furniture etc. These foams offer a distinct advantage over conventional foam grades in outdoor use. These outdoor grades are often referred to as "Reticulated" foams due to their key feature of being able to reticulate or drain away the water that it will come in contact with. When used in conjunction with appropriate fabrics such as outdoor, open weave materials, the cushions will dry out easily and effectively and thus provide comfort and superior performance for years to come. For more information or practical advice on applications of this exciting new range, please download the attached pdfs or contact your local Dunlop State Representative. Dry Flow | | Aerofoam Aerofoam is the Dunlop Foams brand of specialty foams used in the airline industry. Aerofoam is a high density graphite foam suitable for heavy duty seating application with high durability. The foam was designed to pass the requirements of the USA’s Civil Aviation Authority flammability test. The test requires the foam seat to be subjected to a Kerosene burner fire for a period of 2 minutes. To pass the test, the sample must not lose more than 10% mass and the burn length must be less than 430mm. LR Graphite foam grades have also been introduced to assist in combating the “Deep Vain Thrombosis” problem which airlines are currently experiencing. Sample Grades: AF 50-140, AF 60-200, LR GR 50-100, LR GR 50 - 50 Aerofoam Brochure (PDF 281 kb) Please contact your nearest Dunlop Foams branch for more information. | | Re-bond Re-bonded or reconstituted Dunlop Repol® foams are made from the shredded offcuts produced by the foam making and foam cutting (conversion) processes. The foam chips are combined with a urethane adhesive, compressed, then steam cured. This process makes dense, firm foams that are ideally suited to gym mats and heavy duty seating applications. Because of the re-bonding process, almost 100% of offcuts generated by foam manufacture is put to good use.
