Cleaning

Flexible polyurethane foams are used in the manufacture of sponges, either on their own or in combination with scourer or microfibre pads.

These sponges are used in kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and commercial & industrial applications, as well as to wash cars, boats, windows, tiles, floors, etc.

Dunlop Foams manufactures special grades to meet the needs of different cleaning applications.

All Dunlop foams used for cleaning applications incorporate Ultra-Fresh for lasting protection against mould, mildew and bacteria.

Healthcare

First choice for support and safety

Hospital mattresses, as well as cushioning devices for wheelchairs and other seating, deliver significant and measurable benefits of enhanced support and superior durability and safety when made using Dunlop Foams' Hospital Grade high density Flame Retarded (FR) foams.

Special foams are also available for manufacture of patient support devices used during medical imaging procedures.

First choice for pressure point care

Dunlop Foams' low resilience (LR) foams have visco-elastic or ‘memory’ properties, which help to reduce the interface pressures that cause pressure sores (decubitus ulcers). The areas of high interface pressure are shown in red on the pressure maps at left.

Using advanced pressure mapping technology, Dunlop Foams specialists can assist in the development of healthcare products that are effective in the prevention of pressure sores, which is much less costly than their treatment.
