Introduction
Dunlop Foams is committed to training our customers in the identification of foam grades and the principles behind the manufacture and development of these products.
Flexible polyurethane foam is one of the most versatile materials ever created however it is a complex item. We are literally surrounded by it in our everyday life whether it be in our cars, under our carpet, used as packaging material or cushioning material in almost all furniture and bedding. As you can see people can come into contact with foam everyday, you could be sitting on it right now. With Dunlop Foams being the largest manufacturer of foam in Australia, there is a good chance everyone in Australia comes into contact with our product.
There are over 100 different types of foam available therefore manufacturers work hard to select the correct grade. Many products also have a combination of different foam grades to obtain the correct comfort level etc. As you are a seller of this product, it is important that you understand the basics of foam so you can become competent in discussing individual benefits of these products to your customers.
Our training program has been divided into 5 sections to help you achieve this understanding. The sections covered are:
Section 1 - Introduction to Dunlop Foams
Section 2 - What is foam?
Section 3 - How is it manufactured?
Section 4 - Types of foam?
